the waiting room, at ten
the room where it happens
where the answer is no, sometimes
- Only the doctor injects.
- A consultation before anything. $50, deducted from whatever you decide to have.
- Verdun, third floor. Parking in the building.
- Open since 2018.
Three rooms on the third floor of a building from the fifties, with windows tall enough that the lamp is only ever a second light. Nothing on the walls, no products for sale, no posters of anybody's face. The light is the decoration and the consultation is the product.
the hour
One hour, and nobody in it.

- Fifteen minutes of numbing cream.
- Twenty minutes with the doctor.
- A cold pack and a mirror.
- The room, reset.
An appointment takes an hour of your day. This is the room it happens in.
what changes
What changes.
Three crops, the same light, the same distance. Nothing here is retouched beyond the treatment itself.

Sample quotes for a clinic that does not exist. On a real site these would be their own patients.
She told me I did not need the second area. I have never had that happen anywhere.
N.K.Botox
Nobody at work noticed. My sister noticed on the third day and could not say what it was.
R.A.Dermal filler
In and out at lunch, six times, and I have not thought about it since.
M.S.Laser hair removal
She said three sessions and it took three sessions. That is the whole review.
L.H.Laser resurfacing
I asked for more and she said no. I went back anyway.
J.B.Skin booster
Every price was on the website before I walked in. It should not be unusual.

What we don't do.
- Surgery. Threads are the ceiling here, and anything past them is a surgeon's job.
- Anyone under eighteen.
- Anything during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- More, when the doctor says enough.
- Any treatment without a consultation first.
ask
Ask.
Who actually injects?
The doctor, every time, without exception. Rita is a nurse and Sarah runs the laser; neither of them holds a syringe. If a clinic will not answer this question plainly, ask it again.
What products do you use?
Medical-grade and FDA-approved, and we name them in the consultation. We do not print brand names on the website — publishing them is an advertisement for a prescription product, and the honest place to discuss what is going into your face is a room with a doctor in it.
Does it hurt?
Most people say three out of ten. Numbing cream for anything with a needle, fifteen to thirty minutes beforehand, and a cold pack in your hand while it happens. Laser stings and is over quickly; threads are the one treatment here that is genuinely uncomfortable, and we say so before you book.
Will I bruise?
Possibly. It is likeliest with lips and around the eyes, it is not likely with Botox, and it lasts three to five days. No blood thinners or alcohol for 48 hours beforehand halves it. Arnica helps. We will tell you before you book if the timing is wrong for something you have coming up.
How soon will I see it?
Botox in three to ten days. A filler looks like itself immediately and settles over a week. Skin boosters, laser and the skin programmes show after the course, not after the first session — and we would rather tell you that now than have you disappointed in four weeks.
Do men come here?
About a third of the patients. Mostly laser hair removal, masseter Botox and the skin programmes. Nobody is asked to explain themselves at reception.
I am pregnant. Can I have anything?
No — not injectables, not laser, not peels. That is the whole answer, and the doctor will explain the reasoning if you want it. Come back afterwards; we will still be here.
Is there an age limit?
Eighteen. We do not treat anybody younger, with or without a parent, and we are not open to a conversation about it.
What if I cannot make it?
Twenty-four hours' notice and there is no charge. Less than that and we ask for the consultation fee, because the hour was held for you and somebody else wanted it.
How do I pay?
US dollars — cash, card or transfer. The price you were quoted in the consultation is the price at the desk, and there is nothing added at the end.
Where do I park?
In the building. Take the lift to the third floor; the door has no sign on it, which is deliberate.
Why does everything here say 'subtle'?
Because the goal of every treatment we do is that nobody can tell you had it. If what you want is a visible change, we are not the wrong clinic to ask — we are just the clinic that will tell you honestly whether what you want is what we do.
