Teeth whitening
One session in the clinic, then a take-home kit so the result holds instead of drifting back within the month.

What it involves
Whitening works on natural tooth, not on fillings, crowns or veneers. We check the shade of everything in the smile first, because whitening around existing work can leave that work looking darker by comparison.
The in-clinic session takes about an hour. Sensitivity for a day or two afterwards is common and settles; you go home with a desensitising gel and trays for topping the shade up.
Who it is for
- Staining from coffee, tea or red wine
- A general dulling that brushing no longer touches
- Healthy teeth and an event in three weeks
- Anyone considering veneers who wants to see how far whitening gets them first
How it goes
- 01
Shade check
We record the starting shade and check for anything that needs treating first. Whitening over decay is not a good idea.
- 02
Hygiene visit
Whitening works better on a clean surface, so a scale and polish comes first.
- 03
In-clinic session
About an hour with the gums protected. You will see the difference the same day.
- 04
Take-home kit
Custom trays and gel for top-ups, plus what to keep away from for the first two days.
A case from the gallery

Eight upper veneers and a whitening session on the lower arch. Results vary by patient. Every plan starts with a scan and a conversation.
Worth knowing
Results vary with the starting shade and the cause of the staining. Grey discolouration from an old root treatment usually needs a different approach.
Questions we get
Most of what we do happens under local anaesthetic, and you will feel pressure rather than pain. Topical gel goes on before the injection. For longer appointments — or if anxiety is the reason you have been putting this off — conscious sedation is available: you stay awake and responsive, but remember very little of it.
You receive a written plan with a fixed total before anything begins — no estimate that moves later. Treatment can be paid across the course of the work, agreed in advance, with no interest and no third party involved. Ask at the consultation and you will leave knowing the number.
